Still, it would be cool to see stats for them. I do wish they would have put Cazadores into the bestiary, but I understand why they didn't as they are a creature of the Mohave Wasteland. So far, its everything I like about Fallout, so I'm really happy. I've only read through part of the core book so far, but it seems like they have really done a great job bringing Fallout to the table. Am I being a bit extreme here?Īnyone else as excited to run this game as I am? Have you found any other weird bits in the system that deserve a bit of scrutiny? I feel like the base should probably be 50, meaning a lowest STR character would get a limit of 100lbs without penalty. A character with the lowest starting STR can carry up to 200 pounds without penalty. The encumbrance rules are a bit insane, probably to emulate the pockets full of junk that Fallout 4 allows you to scavenge?ġ50 pounds is the base carry weight, then you add between 50-100 pounds (STRx10)!? That means the base weight limit exceeds the heaviest Marine Corp gear total weight by around 40 pounds from what I could find.
Time to start making a Spotify playlist of cool music to fit the alternate history. So far, this is creeping to the top of my to run list. Though maybe I’m just used to that from reading so many other RPGs.
So far it’s a great implementation of the 2d20 rules.Ī few times early in the book, it talks about things that aren’t fully explained until later, but I didn’t find it too much of a hindrance. The paper is pretty thin, which makes it look much leaner than it really is, but it looks really good. Picked this up over the weekend, and I’m enjoying the book so far.
