So I'll go out on a limb and say rank 5 and up is where you start hitting real deminishing returns. I'd say "Keep going until the cost seems a bit too much to be worth it at the moment" but that is a little vague. Serration and Hornet Strike are still at 9 for me.Īs you point out you get severe deminishing returns as you continue to grow ranks. I'm 1000 hours in and I still only have a few 10 rank mods maxed out and even then they're commons like Redirection.

Should I just focus on getting Serration to 8 or 9, or should I just leave it at 6 or 7 and spend the extra credits upgrading everything else? Obviously there is personal playstyle to consider, but what's a good general rule? I have a smattering of other mods with 4 points, like elemental damages and some ability power ones for Mag. That being said, what do you guys recommend for mod upgrade priority? And how long did you wait before taking something up to rank 10? Right now my two hightest mods are Redirection and Serration, with both being a 6/10.

But seeing as how upgrade ranks cost exponentially more with each rank, there's a line somewhere where you can say paying 500,000 credits to rank up Serartion once more is not worth the trade off of upgrading 50 other useful mods with those resources. The question is, what's the priority here? Obviously a mod like Serration is more important that something like Fast Hands. So, I figure it's time to double down on investing in some fusions of some key mods. I have a good number of rare mods, a Carrier, some solid level 30 weapons (Boltor/Magnus) and I finally have a hundred thousand credits or so with nothing I absolutly need to buy on hand.

I started the game about a week ago, currently Mastery Level 3 with lvl 30 Mag and a new Rhino.
